OMAS EXTRA 557 - POSTWAR PISTON FILLER - OS

At the end of WWII, Omas introduced the piston filling mechanism, which promised to be easier to use than the traditional plunger filling mechanism omas had used since the 1930's for the Lucens and the Extra Lucens series.

The new line of piston fillers was called Extra and was identified by a model number which was 555 ( lady size), 556 (senior size), 557 ( oversize). The design of these pens replicated the lines of the Lucens models of the past. .

This Omas Extra 557  piston filler is in very good condition. The pen shows some minimal traces of time and use; it cap lip has a professionally restored crack, which is very hard to see and can only  be felt.

The nib is a superb Omaas extra EF, which is very responsive and flexible. The length of the pen is 14 cm.
