The Carene line was introduced in the mid 1990s and was meant to be the less expensive version of the Edson model, suitable for the medium range market.

The inlay nib recalls the old time CF model of the 1970s but with a sturdier and more refined design. The line was originally offered with lacquered finish where each color had a reference to the sea. The range of colors was later on enlarged with the addition of a few satin finishes.

The color Green Sea Shimmer is one of the rarest along with the Marine Amber.

This pen is pre-owned but in excellent condition. Nib grade is F.
