WATERMAN 94 OLIVE RIPPLE - SUPERFLEXIBLE NIB

Waterman introduced lines of ripple pens in the second half of the 1920's.

Beyond red ripple and coral red, which were used both for the 4X and the 5X lines, Waterman adopted three new colors which were expected to rival the most fascinating shades of celluloid. Most pen makers were in fact already using celluloid at the time and Waterman was the last of the Big Four pen manufacturers to leave ebonite in favour of celluloid.

The thee colors were Olive ripple, Blue ripple and Rose ripple and they were primarily used for the line of 94 lever fillers.

Nowadays the three ripple colors are avidly sought after by collector and 94 models are becoming scarcer and scarcer on the market.

This Waterman 94 in Olive ripple is in excellent condition with no damages. The color is very light and there is no difference in shade between the cap and the barrel.

It is fitted with a beautiful Nr 4 nib which is extremely flexible and soft to use.
