WATERMAN 52 CARDINAL RED EBONITE

Waterman manufactured its early lever fillers in black ebonite and then in the 1920's the range of colors was enlarged with the addition of mottled, ripple and cardinal red ebonite.

Colorful ripple ebonites (olive, rose and blue ripple) were added after 1925 and were mainly used for the 94 series.

Cardinal red ebonite is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating colors.

This Waterman 52 is in very good condition with some minimal traces of time. There are small marks on the cap top and a tiny chip on the upper part of the clip. As regards the uniformity of the color, there is only a minimal darkening of the cap, which I tried to catch with pictures.

There is some wear on the lever, too

The pen is a very pleasant writer and it is priced taking condition into account.
