VISCONTI PONTEVECCHIO POMPEI BLUE - STANDARD EDITION

In 1995, Visconti issued a limited edition of three pens to celebrate the 650th anniversary of the Pontevecchio bridge in Florence, one of the most famous bridges of the world.

The colors chosen for the three pens  symbolize the different stones which were used to build the bridge: Adriatic stone (light gray/azurite with black streaks), Granite (a mixture of burgundy and gray tones), Pompei (deep cobalt blue and orange).

The three pens are fitted with 18 ct gold nibs, they are converter fillers, and come in a special wooden box with a rolled parchment explaining the features of the limited edition. The outline of the Pontevecchio bridge is engraved on the cap band while the serial number is placed on the large band on top of the cap.

Next to the Pontevecchio limited edition, Visconti also offered the same pens in the same precious celluloid not in a set but separately. These standard models are fitted with gold plated Visconti nibs and have no serial number.

This Pontevecchio fountain pen in Pompei blue celluloid, is part of the standard production and is fitted with an F nib.

The pen is unused and comes without box.
