TIBALDI INFRANGIBILE LEVER FILLER - fantastic celluloid

In the 1920's Tibaldi introduced the line of Infrangibile models.

Infrangibile means "unbreakable". These were the first pens Tibaldi manufactured in celluloid.

The early series comprised pens which recalled Parker Duofold models: they were flat top with black ends and the range of colors was very similar to what Parker was offering on the market: blue, red, green black and yellow.

Pens were available in 3 sizes, 18, 20 and 26.

The Infrangibile line underwent a number of revisions in the course of time and eventually the lever was abandoned in favor of a button filling system.

This Tibaldi Infrangibile is a nr. 20 and it is quite unusual as it has no cap bands. The streamlined design and the very unusual "moiré" celluloid place it in the 1930s.

The pen is a medium size and it is fitted with a very pleasant 14 ct Tibaldi nib.

It comes with a beautiful Tibaldi box.
