STILOFETTI Duofold style

Very rare Stilofetti/FIPS button filler in black and bronze celluloid. This pen is very interesting as it is manufactured in the same rare and uncommon celluloid Omas used in its early years for Duofold-style button fillers.

The logo FIPS on the barrel is an acronym which means:  Italian Fountain Pen Factory (Fabbrica Italiana Penne Stilografiche). Fetti is the name of famous Rome-based shop which still exists. They had their own brand and used it both on pocket pens and desk pens.

FIPS gold nibs exist but this pen has a replacement 14 ct gold nib.

Time of production: early 1930's
