Ever since the introduction of  the famous tubular nib in 1942, Sheaffer's models have distinguished themselves for their extremely innovative design and special nibs. In 1959 Sheafffer introduced the PFM model ( Pen For Men) which sported a pionieristic inlay nib which marked a milestone in the history of fountain pens. The nib was  totally integrated into the section thus guaranteeing solidity and extreme reliability.  The PFM met with an enormous success worldwide and remained as one of the most distinctive Sheaffer models.

In 1995 Sheaffer introduced the Legacy line as a tribute to the PFM's commercial success. Legacy models were very similar in design to the PFM, were fitted with the inlay nib and had the touchdown filling system.The Legacy was offered in a number of finishes and also in a few limited editions. 

A few years later the Legacy II line of writing instruments was introduced. The new pens had the inlay nib, slightly more modern design and were offered in a variety  of more innovative and vibrant finishes.

This Sheaffer Legacy II with linear matte black barrel set is pre-owned but in excellent condition. The set is offered without box.
