RARE MINERVA DUOFOLD-STYLE BURGUNDY MARBLED WITH GOLD STREAKS

Duofold Style Minervas are part of the early Omas production, when the influence of the Parker Duofold in Italy was still very strong. Like early Omas models, 1930's Minervas replicated the design of the famous  American model both in its flat top and in his streamlined design.

This Minerva is actually part of the mid 1930s production. It is a very unusual pen as it sports a nichel-colored metal  finish with the typical Minerva Classica flat-ended clip. The color of celluloid is  absolutely stunning and original, hardly ever seen in a Minerva pen. The barrel imprint is fresh and crisp.

The Minerva nib is a very pleasant writer with a springy touch, a good flexibility and very smooth tip. The nib shows a tiny dent on one side which does not impair its functionality.

The pen is a senior size 13 cm long.
