ONOTO THE PEN - BURGUNDY MARBLED PLUNGER FILLER - M/STUBBISH NIB

Founded in 1905, the T.A. De la Rue Company introduced Onoto models in the first decade of the century. The name Onoto was chosen since it could be pronounced in the same way in any language. Massive advertising campaigns and high quality production standards soon transformed Onoto pens in very desirable writing instruments which became part of everyday life in England.
This Onoto the Pen in burgundy marbled celluloid dates back to the early 1930s; it is a plunger filler in excellent condition with a very pleasant nib. The sticker on the pen is M but the nib actually writes with a stubbish slant. The pen is long and slender and it is very pleasant to use.
The plunger filling mechanism allows the pen to fill on the downward stroke.
