OMAS LUCENS GRAY LAMINATED CELLULOID - SR. SIZE - PERMANIO NIB

The Lucens model was introduced in 1936.
The word "Lucens" is Latin and means "shiny", "full of light". The denomination was choosen to emphasize the transparency of the barrel, which allowed ink visibility and a great capacity, thanks to the innovative reverse plunger mechanism.
Omas Lucens models were initially produced with a greek key cap band which was later simplified into three cap rings. During wartime cap finish became chrome-colored in association with steel nibs, whose alloy was called "Permanio".
Omas Lucens models were produced in a wide range of marbled colors: green, gray, burgundy, gray and blue striped ( the latter is extremely rare).
This Omas Lucens in laminated gray celluloid has a wartime finish and a beautiful Permanio nib. Condition is excellent with very minimal signs of use and time and this Permanio nib is a very pleasant writer.
The blind cap stil retains the small vertical decorative lines which are often worn out because of use and overpolishing.
