OMAS EXTRA LUCENS MEDIUM SIZE - BLACK

in 1939 Omas introduced the Extra Lucens model; it was a revolutionary pen with facetted transparent barrel and a special plunger filler which offered large ink capacity.

These pens were manufactured in three sizes and in a  pretty limited range of colors (brown, gray laminated, blue laminated, cracked ice) and were meant to be the top of the range.

The barrel transparency could have a yellowish or a reddish tone and could be decorated with spiralling or parallel back lines.

Omas Extra Lucens pens were originally fitted with  precious two-tone Extra Lucens nibs. Nibs were available in a number of grades and both as flexible or rigid.

Later on the two tone nib was abandoned  and all the pens were fitted with single tone nibs.
