OMAS EXTRA LUCENS BLACK AND GOLD TRANSPARENT CELLULOID - NOS
The Extra Lucens has been Omas' flagship model for many years. It was introduced in 1937/39 and remained in production till the late 1950s.
The model was offered in a range of colourful celluloids: tortoise brown, laminated gray, laminated green and laminated blue, cracked ice and jet black with red or yellow transparency of the barrel with varying decorative black lines : spiralled, horizontal and vertical.
In the 1960s the Extra Lucens model was discontinued and it was bough back to life only in the easy 2000s when Omas introduced the Vintage Collection, a series of models which were designed as refined replicas and interpretations of the most significative models of the past.
To celebrate its founder, Omas dedicated an Extra Lucens limited edition to Armando Simoni in 2013. The pens were marked Extra Lucens on the barrel and had their serial engraved on the back of the cap. They were offered with an elaborate packaging and a large box.
This Omas Extra Lucens is part of a non limited edition batch of pens which were probably marketed after the introduction of the limited edition .
The pen has no engraving on the barrel and only the Omas Italy engraving on the back of the cap.
It is in perfect working order and it is fitted with a two tone Omas nib, grade F.
