OMAS 556 gold filled cap

The 55X line of ogiva -shaped piston fillers was introduced in 1948. It comprised black pens both facetted and cylindrical. The cylindrical line included pens with a gold filled cap which was very fashionable at the time.

This pen is in near mint condition, free from damages, brassing and dings. The cap looks like new and the barrel has a very crisp imprint.

The nib is smooth and flexible,  very nice to use.

Note:The writing sample says "Omas Extra 556" this pen is actually a  556, not an Extra.
