OLO blue facetted celluloid

Aurora introduced the Olo line of pens in the 1930's to diversify its offer and get a share of the large market for medium-priced pens. Olo pens were suitable for large distribution and had a very balanced price-quality ratio.

Olo models were availabe as safety pens in ebonite and as button fillers in a wide range of celluloids. Models with overlay existed both for safety pens and button fillers.

The selection of celluloids and the design of Olo pens changed in the course of time. The first Olo pens were offered mainly in marbled colors with tassels on both ends. In the late 1930's Olo pens followed the trend for spiderweb celluloids  and Olo pens became very similar to Novum models.

Facetted Olo pens exist in a variety of designs and celluloids, too

Very often Olo pens were sold unbranded to be customized with advertizings or logos and be distributed as promotionals.

This large facetted Olo in blue marbled celluloid has its original 14 ct olo nib which is extremely smooth and soft.

The pen is in excellent condition with a small mark on the barrel just above the blind cap
