Marcel Proust was one of the most significative novelists and philosopers of the 19th century. His masterpiece "The Search of the Lost Time" is the longest novel ever written. His work analyses the continuous quest for the meaning of life and leads into the awareness that life must be appreciated for what it is and what we have instead of feeling desperate for what we lost or never had.
