MONTBLANC F. S. FITZGERALD FOUNTAIN PEN - PRE-OWNED

In 2002 Montblanc issued the F.S. Fitzgerald Limited Writers Edition.

This pen is meant to represent the so-called roaring twenties in the USA, a time which is also known as the "Jazz Age" which Fitzgerald depicted in his  masterpieces. 

Fitzgerald's novels describe a time of craziness and exaggeration, as if life was meant to last forever, after the horror of WWI.  They also hint at  a sense of doom and despair as an anticipation of the dreadful 1930's.

Fitzgerald's life followed a similar spiral, going from exaggerated luxury and waste to desperation, sorrow and lack of money. 

The black and white contrast in this pen thus expresses both the Art Deco style and the ups and downs of Fitzgerald's life.

This pen is pre-owned but in pristine condition. There is no box and nib grade is F.
