MONTBLANC 1995 PRINCE REGENT - COMPLETE PACKAGING
Tis Montblanc 1995 Limited Edition is part of the collection Patron of Arts and it is dedicated to George Prince of Wales, who was appointment as Prince Regent in 1811 with the Regency Act, due to his father George III's illness. He became King of England with the name of George IV in 1820, when his father George III died.
The span of time which covers the Regency years and George IV's Kingdom is generally referred to as the Regency period, a time of great cultural refinement and development of the arts.
These are the years of the Industrial Revolution and of the Romantic age in literature and the arts, which George IV actively supported.
The decoration of this pen endeavours to evocate this time of cultural flourishment and the role the King of England played endorsing it. The filigree which decorates the pen is manufactured in vermeil with a motifs which recalls the style of the time and the image of the crown is reproduced on the cap.
