ERCOLESSI red arco celluloid

The E.E. Ercolessi pen shop in Milan was one of the most ancient and most famous pen shops in Italy.

From the 1920's till the 1940's Ercolessi had their pens manufactured on commission by a number of major pen makers, among which Omas, Safis, Columbus etc...

All Ercolessi pens are marked E.E. Ercolessi on the barrel and have Ercolessi nibs. During wartime, steel nibs were used too, generally with the addition of the year of production.

In most cases Ercolessi models differ from standard production pens in small details, which can be the number of cap bands or their width. Sometimes they do not differ at all and simply have a different engraving on the barrel.

This medium sized pen in beautiful red arco celluloid was manufactured by Safis in Turin and it is actually a Radius pen dating back to the 1940's.

The color of the celluloid is stunning and the nib is a fantastic writer.
