AURORA A.R.A. 4 - Black lined ebonite

In the 1920's Aurora introduced the line of A.R.A. models which were lever fillers.
A.R.A. is the acronym of "Aurora - Riempimento- Automatico" ( Aurora self filler).
A.R.A.pens were produced in black and in mottled ebonite. Sizes were: 5 ( oversize), 4 (standard size), 3 (lady size) and 35 (midway between 3 and 4). All models could have gold filled, solid gold or solid silver overlays.
These models sport a very elegant ball-ended clip with a semi-closed ring in the shape of a small wrath of laurel leaves which gives the pens a definite Art Nouveau look.
This Aurora A.R.A. 4 is in near mint condition with no signs of use. The ebonite is shiny without traces of oxidization.
The nib is the correct Aurora 14 ct 2 1/2 with very long times and on ogival vent hole.
