ANCROA LUSSO RED LAMINATED CELLULOID

Immediately after WWII, Ancora introduced a new line of writing instruments which were meant to express the new style of the time. The new models were torpedo-shaped and were manufactured in colourful celluloid. The range of colors was very wide, going from laminated red, green blue and gray to marbled combinations.

The new line of piston fillers was called Lusso and was available both with celluloid cap and barrel and in the doué version with gold filled cap, following the fashion of the time based on the success of the Parker 51.

This Ancora lusso in red laminated celluloid is a beautiful example of this line of pens. The celluloid shows some minimal sign of discolouration but the color is still very bright and lively.

The pen has a very pleasant nr. 4 Ancora nib which writes beautifully.
