WATERMAN 452 1/2 GOTHIC WITH STUB NIB
The Waterman 52 is undoubtedly one of the most successfull models ever. Its simple and elegant line as well as its well balanced size, make it the perfect writer for every hand.
In Waterman's tradition there's always been a careful attention to different writing needs. So the 52 is probably one of Waterman's models whose "declinations" are more common on the collecting market. The model can be found in the "V" version (shorter), the "1/2" version (thinner) or the "1/2 V" version, which is thinner and shorter.
A number of overlays have been used on the 52 family, including silver, gold filled and solid gold with various patterns of decoration.
Silver overlays are indicated by nr. 4 in the hundreds column. The model number of this 452 1/2 fountain pen indicates that the overlay is silver (4), that the pen is a lever filler (5), the nib is nr. 2 (2) and that the pen is thinner than standard (1/2).
The Gothic pattern of decoration proposes a typical Art Deco motif. The nib on this pen is a fantastic stub which is extremely fun to use.
