Before celluloid became available for all pen makers, the only material pen companies had to manufacture colourful pens was ebonite. Waterman introduced the line of ripple pens in blue, rose and olive in the late 1920s, and kept all his cardinal red ebonite models in production. Red cardinal ebonite was used by Wahl, too, to manufacture precious and desirable pens which stood out for their beauty and elegance.

This beautiful Wahl Eversahrp set in red ebonite is a medium size. The color is perfect and does not show any shades nor darkening. The greek key pattern of decoration definitely enhances its beauty.

The only flaw of the set is a tiny ding on the metal tip of the pencil.

The fountain pen is in perfect condition and it is fitted with a fantastic, extremely flexible Wahl nib.
