In 2009 Visconti introduced the R.M.S. Titanic model in two versions: a limited edition and a standard edition.

The limited edition was numbered and manufactured in celluloid in 1912 pieces. The standard edition was not numbered  and was manufactured in acrylic.

The limited edition is a large and assertive pen (15 cm) in a beautiful cobalt blue and bronze celluloid. The standard edition is smaller (14 cm) and is manufactured in a deep blue acrylic with  dark orange swirls.

The model is large and well balanced with a very refined feel. Every detail is designed to stimulate perceptions. The typical Voyager clip has been transformed to evocate the keel of the ship ploughing thorough the waves.The white translucent pearl symbolizes the iceberg which put an end to Titanic's journey.

The color of the celluloid  and of the acrylic Visconti used for this model is meant to recall the depth of the sea and the shadows of the abyss.

Visconti's Titanic is definitely a powerful and special pen with a strong evocative power but it is also a very pleasant writing instrument, with large ink capacity and an extremely appealing look.

This Visconti standard edition is in excellent condition and it has its original presentation box.

The nib is 18 ct, grade F.
