VISCONTI 753 ROMA DOMUS AUREA

In 2010 Visconti produced the model 753 Roma Domus Aurea to celebrate the city of Rome. The pen is dedicated to the famous Domus Area which was built for Emperor Nero after the fire in 64 a.c 

Only 80 fountain pens were manufactured and 20 rollerballs.

The first 4 pieces were donated to four personalities who played an important role for the city: Pope Benedetto XVI, Rome's Mayor G. Alemanno, the actress Sabrina Ferilli and the comic actor Gigi Proietti.

The pen is manufactured in vintage ivorine celluloid and it is has a hand engraved decoration which replicates the frescoes inside the Domus Aurea.

The nib is  23 ct Palladium and the feeder is ivory white, to match the color of the pen.

753 is the year of the foundation of the city of Rome.

Part of the funds coming from the sale of the pens were donated to support the restoration work of the famous monument.

This pen is pre-owned. It hasbeen dipped once to test the nib and it comes with its original presentation box.

Nib grade is M and the serial is 80/80.
