TIBALDI INFRANGIBILE LADY . BROWN MARBLED CELLULOID

Tibaldi intriduced the Infrangibile series in the 1920s in a range of solid celluloid colors ( black, coral red, yellow, lapis blue and green jade).  Infrangibile means "unbreakable". These were the first pens Tibaldi manufactured in celluloid.

The early series comprised lever fillers which recalled Parker Duofold models: they were flat top with black ends and the range of colors was very similar to what Parker was offering on the market.

Pens were available in 3 sizes, 18, 20 and 26.

The Infrangibile line underwent a number of revisions in the course of time and eventually the lever was abandoned in favor of a button filling system.

In the late 1920/ early1930's the Infrangibile line was reviewed and the pens acquired a more modern and streamlined design. The range of colors was rejuvenated, too;  new pearlescent and marbled combinations were introduced with some very unusual celluloids.

This Infrangibile button filler is a size 18 and dates back to the 1930's. The nib is a beautiful  14 ct Tibaldi extra, very smooth and very flexible.
