OMAS VS SET WITH BOX AND PAPERS - GREAT WRITER

In the early 1960's Omas introduced the CS and VS models, which were  advertized as extremely precious pens. They  were not a product of injection moulding but the result of fine craftsmanship, totally finished by hand.

This marketing message meant to distinguish Omas pens from the mass produced German and American pens which were becoming so popular on the market at the time.

The CS is actually a very refined piston filler which sports a beautiful spear-shaped 14 ct nib. The pen is manufactured in black celluloid and it is very light in the hand. It is a reliable writer, very pleasant to use.

The VS represents the evolution  of the famous 361 model, with a more modern look and a different balance in the hand. It offers the double writing mode with one tip of the nib being flexible and the other being rigid.

Both the CS and the VS exist in one size only.

These models were initially marketed in very stylish and ultra-modern wooden boxes then in special wooden presentation boxes with a small metal emblem representing a feathered helm. The reference was to the sword, a precious, hand finished weapon, whose image was used in the advertizing campaign for these models with the slogan: "They are not moulded but finely handcrafted".

This Omas VS set is pre-owned but in superb condition  comes with its original very nice wooden box.
