OMAS PARAGON BLACK RESIN - 1990S

In the early 1980's, when the lines of Milord and Gentlemen in celluloid were discontinued and Omas introduced its first models in cotton resin, the top of the range was the Paragon model.

The model was named  Paragon but this denomination was never engraved on the barrels of the pens. The earliest Paragons had the old style diamond clip and were numbered (although they were not a limited edition). They had " OMAS-557/F"  engraved on the barrel. Later on the model  only shows "OMAS EXTRA"  on the barrel, has a roller clip and later models also exist with 18 ct nibs and no engraving on the barrel .

Early models were fitted with 14 ct two tone nibs which were offered in a wide range of grades. Later on only 18 ct nibs were used.

This pen is a late Paragon without engraving on the barrel.

The nib is two tone 18 ct, F grade. Like most Omas nibs of this era, the nib is bouncy,  semiflex with a very peasant responsiveness .
