OMAS EXTRA LUCENS wartime set - Tortoise brown celluloid

The Extra Lucens, introduced in 1939, was initially produced with gold filled finish. During wartime, all the pens were produced with chrome  trims and Permanio nibs ( an alloy used to replace gold).

As soon as  WWII was over, Omas started using gold nibs again. The remaining stock of chrome trimmed pens was so marketed with 14 ct gold nibs.It is therefore not so uncommon to find wartime Omas pens whith gold nibs.

This is a rare wartime set with its original presentation box. The pen has a 14 ct Extra Lucens gold nib.
