MONTBLANC L 139 G - very rare

The Montblanc 139 represents for most collector a sort of grail pen.

The model was introduced by Montblanc in the 1930's and remained in production till the 1950's. The model is fitted with an innovative telescopic filling mechanism which is one of the distinctive features of this series and allows a very large ink capacity.

This Montblanc L 139 G  ( long window)  is in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The pen  is fitted with a beautiful 14 ct gold nib which offers a pleasant flexibility.

The transparent barrel has lost a part of its black stripes on one side due to time and use.

The cap shows the imprint "Fabbricata in Germania" ( manufactured in Germany) which is only found on pens which were marketed in Italy.

The star on the cap was badly damaged when the pen was found and it has been replaced.
