MA-GUS LEVER FILLER - ART DECO OVERLAY

Ma-Gus was on of the best metal workshops in Milan in the 1920's/1930's. The name derives from the first two letters of the founder's name and family name: Mayer Gustavo.

The workshop manufactured overlays for fountain pens and various other objects of everyday use. Overlays for pens was doubtelssly one of the main activities in the 1930's.

Ma-Gus produced overlays on commission for various brands (including Waterman) along with its own brand. Ma-Gus pens can be found in various sizes (from tiny safety pens to large lever and button fillers) with many patterns of decoration.

Ma-Gus gold nibs are not known.

This Ma-Gus pen has a large girth and sports a very nice Art Deco overlay with geometrical decoration and it is fitted with a very pleasant Rover nib with EF, very flexible tip.

The overlay is in pristine condition without any damage.
