HELIOS SET - LADYSIZE - GREEN AND GOLD CELLULOID

Helios pens are connected with Eugenio Giarola's company, based in Milan.

Helios is actually a Kaweco sub-brand and the first Helios pens were imported in Italy from Germany. Very little is known about the development of the brand in Italy, but it is likely that Mr. Giarola was granted a licence to manufacture Helios pens in Italy using German components. Gradually the style and design of these pens acquired a more Italian look.

Helios pens became more colourful and lost the austere style typical of their German origin.

The brand remained available on the market till the 1940s with various models often manufactured in fancy and colourful celluloids.

This small  button filler set in green celluloid with gold streaks is new old stock and it is fitted with a very pleasant and super flexible M/B 14 ct Helios nib.
