COLUMBUS 25 wartime finish- brown marbled

The Model 25 button filler was intended by Columbus to be a medium range pen, which would combine the quality of materials and finish typical of Columbus pens with a less expensive filling mecanism than the patented back spoon lever.

The 25 was a very successful model and it was produced in a very wide range of colors, including a few arco variations (red and blue), which are extremely rare.

During wartime the gold filled cap trim of the model and the nice 14 ct gold nib were necessarily abandoned in favour of chrome trim and a steel nib.

Columbus steel nibs are very high quality and they are among the most pleasant and flexible nibs I have written with.

This Columbus 25 in brown marbled celluloid is in excellent condition with no damages and its nib is really a very good writer with a remarkable flexibility.
