AURORA UNBRANDED BUTTON FILLER OLO

Aurora introduced the Olo line of pens in the 1930's to diversify its offer and get a share of the large market for medium-priced pens. Olo pens were suitable for large distribution and had a very balanced price-quality ratio.

Olo models were availabe as safety pens in ebonite and as button fillers in a wide range of celluloids. Models with overlay existed both for safety pens and button fillers.

The selection of celluloids changed in the course of time. The first Olo pens were offered mainly in marbled colors. In the late 1930's Olo pens followed the trend for spiderweb celluloids Aurora used for Novum pens, too.

Very often Olo pens were sold unbranded to be customized with advertizings or logos and be distributed as promotionals.

This is the case of this nice unbranded Olo from the late 1930's which shows the advertizing  "Tirrenia Soc. di Navigazione" on the barrel.

The pen is in excellent condition and it is fitted with a nicely flexible Platiridio nib.
