AURORA SUPERNA SR. SIZE

The Superna model was introduced in 1937 and was produced in two sizes. Superna pens  are much less common nowadays than other Aurora models of the same era.

The filling mechanism is a special back lever which is activated by a small sphere, covered by the blind cap.

Supernas were produced in a wide variety of colors: green marbled, burgundy marbled, olive green marbled, lined green/ honey, blue with gold veins and obviously black.

The cap band is decorated with the outline of leaves which gives the pen a touch of refined elegance, enhanced by the slender spear-shaped clip.

This Superna is a senior size in a fantastic green/honey lined celluloid with Arco effect, one of the most fascinating colors of the time. Unfortunately this color is also very fragile and delicate aNd pens in this material are often found with damaged cap tops and blind caps.

This pen had a small damage and it has been professionally restored. You can notice the presence of the restoration only if you inspect the cap top and the bottom of the blind cap.

The color of the celluloid is absolutely stunning and there are no traces of discoloration.

The pen is fitted with a beautiful Aurora 14 ct gold Nr. 6 nib, grade M, very flexible.

The pen is priced according to condition.
