WILLIAMSON BROWN LAMINATED CELLULOID - FLEXIBLE NIB

The Williamson Torino Company was founded by Mr. Riccardo Amisani in the early 1920s. The trademark was registered in 1921.
Williamson's production is extremely interesting: the company was very active on the market and manufactured very beautiful safety pens in with semi-precious overlay and beautiful pens in celluloid.
In the late 1930s, Willamson followed the trend of the time which made reference to Parker Vacumatic's success on the Italian market and manufactured a line of pens in three sizes which were reminiscent of the famous American model.
Williamson's interpretation of the Vacumatic results very interesting if we look at the details: Parker's arrow shaped clip becomes a feather on Williamson pens; the vacuum filling mechanism typical of the Vacumatic, becomes an ordinary button filler, much easier to manufacture and to operate and the range of colors is enriched with the addition of a gorgeous purple which is typical of Williamson products only.
The nib on Williamson pens shows and arch-shaped engraving "Williamson", leaving out the presence of the arrow outline which is instead typical of Parker models.
Williamson has always aimed at quality and Williamson models can be included among the most interesting Italian products. Their celluloid is beautiful their nibs are top quality and their metal finish is never cheap.
This Williamson pen is a senior size and it is fitted with a beautiful and nicely flexible 14 ct gold Williamson nib, which is a very pleasant writer.
The pen is in excellent condition with only some minimal traces of discoloration. Nib grade is F, length is 13.5 cm.
