WATERMAN 7 RIPPLE - PURPLE BAND AND NIB

Waterman Ripple Nr 7 pens were introduced in 1927. The line comprised a number of pens with a colored cap band corresponding to a specific nib, identified by the same color of the band. The colors where red, purple, blue, black, yellow, green, gray and pink.

This is the chart of writing modes corresponding to each color:

Red - Standard (medium flex)

Green - Rigid
Pink - Flexible Fine
Purple - Stiff Fine
Yellow - Rounded (ball tip)

Brown - Fine
Blue - Blunt (stub)

Grey - Oblique
Black - Flexible Medium

This nr. 7 with purple cap band and purple nib is in excellent condition with no damages and a beautiful ripple pattern on the cap and barrel.

The cap band shows the signs of time  which is pretty normal since these bands were manufactured in casein and suffered the effects of time and humidity.
