Waterman Ripple Nr 7 pens were introduced in 1927. The line comprised a number of pens with a colored cap band corresponding to a specific nib, identified by the same color as the band. The colors where red, purple, blue, black, yellow, green, gray and pink.

This is the chart of writing modes corresponding to each color:

Red - Standard (medium flex)

Green - Rigid
Pink - Flexible Fine
Purple - Stiff Fine
Yellow - Rounded (ball tip)

Brown - Fine
Blue - Blunt (stub)

Grey - Oblique
Black - Flexible Medium

A few colors are rarer than others with green and red being the most common ones. Pink and Black are istead among the mosto difficult to find.

This Waterman 7 Pink is in excellent with some minimal traces of time and use. The pen has no defects, no cracks, and there are no traces of brassing. The color of the ripple ebonite is intense and with no traces of oxidisation. The cap band is original and shows some tiny sign of time.

The nib is smooth and extremely flexible; it requires a very light hand as it is very responsive.
