This is very rare Waterman safety pen 42 1/2 V - Baby with a precious and unusual silver overlay and a double cap.

The double cap was very useful when the pen was attached to a chatelaine. You could simply slip off the pen to write, leaving the outer cap attached to the chain and then replace the pen just re-inserting it into the cap.

The barley overlay is very clean and has no damages nor dings. the pen is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of time and wear.

The pen has a fine nib which is flexible and very pleasant to use.

A precious gem.
