VISCONTI ISTOS ARACNIS NON-LIMITED EDITION - UNUSED

In 2012 Visconti manufactured the Istos Aracnis limited edition which was dedicated to the Greek Myth of Aracnis.
Aracnis was a young girl who was very skilled in weaving; she dared defeat the Goddess Athena in a weaving competition. Athena who could not accept that, transformed the girl into a spider and condemned her to weave for ever through her mouth hanging from a tree.
Although the symbolism connected to the image of the spider comprises both positive and negative perceptions of this animal, the message coming from the Greek myth expresses a celebration of perseverance and dedication and the spiderweb is to be seen as a work of art.
To celebrate the Greek myth, Visconti produced a limited edition of the Istos Aracnis both with gold and with silver filigree with enameled finish. A non- limited edition was also manufactured with silver- coloured filigree and piston filling mechanism.
This pen is a non limited edition and it has a simple silver-coloured filigree overlay.
It is unused and in pristine condition.
