Tabo pens were manufactured in Bologna, one of the most prolific cities in Italy in the 1920s/1940s for the production of high quality fountain pens. The Company started its activity relatively late and gained a remarkable commercial success in the late 1930s/early 1940s with the Trasparente model, a beautiful high quality pen inspired by Parker Vacumatic which was offered in a wide variety of laminated and marbled celluloids in three sizes with beautiful spearheaded nibs.

In the late 1940s and early 1950s Tabo manufactured student models, too in various sizes, using celluloid till the  mid/late 1950s. The lines "S" and "V" were offered respectively with hooded nib and with spearheaded nib.

This Tabo "V" in burgundy celluloid is  in excellent condition and is fitted with an extremely flexible 14 ct Tabo nib. The pen is a piston filler.
