SOENNECKEN PRAESIDENT - RARE BIG SIZE

In the early 1930s Sonnecken was one of the leading pen manufacturer in Germany and competed with Montblanc for quality products.
Soennecken's high end model of the time was the Praesident which was first introduced with a very unusual design, which showed a bulging cap. The model was subsequently reviewed to attain a more standardised shape. The bulging disappeared and since 1938, all the Praesident models had a straight cap with two rounded ( hollow) cap bands.
This Præsident belongs to the second generation and it is fitted with a very large Soennecken nib which is semiflexible.
The pen is a button filler with a breather tube which allows ink visibility through the ink window.
The pen is in very good condition with some minimal signs of time and use.
