In 1995 Sheaffer introduced the Legacy  as the natural development and modernisation of the famous PFM model. The new pens retained the same design as the historic PFM, had the famous 18 ct inlay nib but were offered with more modern and technological finishes. 

The Legacy line was very successful and was marketed in the course of time in a number of variations, including rich sterling silver special editions with  elaborate decorations, and limited editions. In 2003 the Legacy Heritage collection was introduced in 8 different finishes. The Legacy Heritage was fitted for the first time with the cartridge filling system, abandoning the traditional touchdown filling mechanism coming from the past.

This Sheaffer Legacy Sandblasted Palladium plated is unused and comes with its original wooden box. The internal lining of the box shows some traces of time. 

The pen is fitted with an F nib.
