PELIKAN GREEN DEMONSTRATOR - THE COLLECTORS EDITION-BBB NIB

In 1992 Pelikan released a special edition of a green M800 demonstrator specifically designed for the American market. The pens were not numbered but they were distributed in the States in a special packaging, called "The Collector's Edition".

This was a very clever marketing strategy which added a special value to this model. Each box contained a special certificate which was filled in by hand and signed, specifying that no more than 3000 pieces  of this green M800 demonstrator would be manufactured.

Although the pens were not numbered, having numbered certificates made a special edition into a kind of limited edition. 

It is not clear how many pieces of  of this rare pen were marketed. A very small portion of the production was distributed in Italy and France, too.

What makes this pen particularly interesting is not only its being vary rare and  NOS, with the corret packaging and the original certificate, but also its wondrous 3b nib (BBB) which is absolutely stunning.
