The Concerto had been planned by Pelikan to be released in 1995 but it was actually released one year later due to the technical problems the company encountered in the production process. 

The Concerto is a complex pen where the blu enamel decoration is developed on a vermeil basis, which was very complicated to accomplish. The decoration on the barrel reproduces  Beethoven's Ode to Joy  music sheet as the pen was designed to celebrate the love for music.

The box is shaped to recall the shape of a piano.

Only 4000 pieces were manufactured

This Pelikan Concerto is new old stock and it comes with its complete packaging. the 18 ct nib is grade M.

The serial number is  engraved on the cap crown.
