PELIKAN 101N TORTOISE - POSTWAR PRODUCTION - D NIB- RIGID

Introduced in 1937, the Pelikan 100N model remained in production till 1954 c.ca. The suffix "N" after the model number stands for "New" as the model represented the evolution of the pionerisitc 100 model introduced in 1929. The model was produced in tortoiseshell celluloid and this version  was named 101 N.

101N pens were offered in a number of versions where color combinations between ebonite cap, tuning knob, cap top, section and celluloid barrel and cap may vary.

Early models show the original 4 chicks on the cap top while later products only have two chicks on the cap top.

This Pelikan 101N tortoise is a postwar product and it is in excellent condition. The pen is in working order and it is fitted with a D nib (Druckkopie - da ricalco) which is rigid and very smooth.
