OMEGA AVM LADY PEN - TRANSPARENT GREEN CELLULOID
The Omega AVM brand is connected with Alfred Verga's activity in Milan. After a few years of collaboration with his brother Eugenio in the Columbus company, Alfredo decided to have his own pen company and in 1927 started the production of his Omega AVM pens. AVM is an acronym which is composed by the initials of Alfredo-Verga- Milan.
Alfredo Verga manufactured good quality safety pens in black ebonite and with gold filled overlay and later on pens in celluloid, too. Quality standards were pretty high as he had built a remarkable experience with the production of Columbus pens which were among the best and most reliable pens of the time.
Beyond Omega AVM models, Alfredo Verga manufactured Vega models and a few brands on commission, too.
This little button filler in green transparent celluloid is part of the 1930s production. The pen is in excellent condition and it is a very nice and pleasant little writer with flexible nib.
