OMAS LUCENS SR. SIZE - BLACK CELLULOID

Omas introduced the Lucens model in 1936.

The model was called Lucens because of the transparency of the barrel which was highly fashionable at the time.

Lucen barrels can have either a reddish or a yellow transparency and very early models have a whitish shade.

The transparent barrel was decorated with internal black lines which can be spiralled, vertical or horizontal. So, the number of variations of this model is quite wide.

Early Lucens pens were fitted with a greek-key cap band which was later on replaced by three thin cap rings, while wartime models were marketed with chrome cap rings and Permanio nibs (a steel alloy Omas patented) as in Italy the use of gold was restricted by law.

This Omas Lucens is a senior size in black celluloid in excellent condition. It has a reddish barrel transparency with spiralled black lines.

The nib is particularly pleasant and highly performing, with a great flexibility.

Grade is EF.
