OMAS LUCENS SENIOR SIZE - GREEK KEY CAP BAND

The Lucens model was introduced in 1936.

It was an innovative model which had a transparent barrel and a patented reverse syringe filling mechanism which guaranteed large ink capacity.

The transparency of the barrel could be crystal clear, yellow or red, with decorative black lines ( spiralled, horizontal or vertical). Very early models had a crystal clear transparency which however did not stand the test of time so successfully and very few of these pens reached our century.

The first series of Lucens pens were enriched with a beautiful greek key cap band which was later on abandoned in favour of three thin cap rings.

This Lucens pens is a Senior size and belongs to the early production:  the cap has  a beautiful greek key cap band. The pen is in excellent condition with a nice red transparency of the barrel and no damages.

There are only some minor marks on the turning knob.

The nib is its original Omas Extra 585, is fine and flexible.
