In 1948 Omas revised the design of all its models and introduced a line of piston fillers called Extra. These were available both with facetted and cylindrical design in three sizes: 555, 556 and 557.

Extra 557 models are nowadays very rare and desirable as, to a certain extent,  they equal in size modern pens, while the standard 556 size can be considered too small for large hands or for users accostumed to the big size of modern pens. 

The Omas Extra Ogiva 557 is a  beautiful and   assertive pen.

This Omas Extra 557/S oversize is in excellent condition with very minimal signs of use. It is fitted with a fantastic, extremely responsive and springy EF nib.
